“It’s so amazing, if I can use that word,” Joyce told The Associated Press while grinning and giggling at the CBS season finale party.

Uchenna, 40, and Joyce, 44, from Houston, lugged boats in London, balanced water jugs on their heads in Africa and weighed complete strangers in Turkey — among other silly and strenuous tasks — in order to reach the finish line. Unlike previous seasons of “Amazing Race,” the racers didn’t travel around the globe, instead they semi-circled from Long Beach, California, through South America, Africa, India, Europe and the Caribbean to their final destination in Miami.

Because the Agus arrived last during a non-elimination leg before the home stretch, the couple was stripped of all their belongings and cash per the reality show’s nefarious rules. The Agus begged their way to the finish line but didn’t have enough money to pay their cab driver. Although they were only steps away the finish line and the $1 million prize, the Agus continued to beg from nearby strangers until they paid their cab fare.

“It was all about honor,” said Uchenna. “That cab driver was going to get his money.”

During an earlier stretch of the race in Jodhpur, India, Joyce agreed to shave her head as part of a Fast Forward challenge, allowing the Agus to skip to end of the leg. Uchenna cites that bold “sacrifice” as one of the turning points in the race.

“Once you shave it off, you have nothing to hide behind,” said Joyce. “People can actually see your soul. It’s so bizarre. I’m glad I did it.”

Much of the seventh season of “Amazing Race” was dominated by recently wed former “Survivor” contestants Rob “Boston Rob” Mariano, 29, and Amber Brkich, 26, who placed second in the race. Dating couple Ron Young, 28, from Villa Rica, Georgia, and Kelly McCorkle, 26, from Greenville, South Carolina, placed third.

“We thought they were regular people like us,” said Joyce of Mariano and Brkich. “Really, it was an eye-opening experience when we got on the race and saw that their notoriety was so amazing and people all over the world recognized them. We tried to ignore all that and do our own race just to spite what was happening with them and obviously it still paid off.”

Uchenna, an energy broker who once worked for Enron, and Joyce, a sales manager who once worked for WorldCom, plan to use their earnings for “bills, bills, bills” and to take their family on their own amazing trip. The Agus, who’ve tried unsuccessfully to have a child in the past, also said they would use their $1 million prize toward a baby.

“My doctors offered us a free round of in vitro (fertilization),” said Joyce. “So after all this is over, if it doesn’t work out, we have the money. We can adopt.”

In a surprise announcement Wednesday, Comedy Central announced that the highly anticipated third season of Dave Chappelle’s will not make its May 31 premiere date.

“Comedy Central has suspended production on the third season of Chappelle’s Show until further notice,” network spokesman Tony Fox said in a brief statement. “All parties are optimistic that production will resume in the near future.”

No official reason was given for the shutdown, but sources told E! News that Chappelle has been MIA from the set for weeks.

In December, the network said that Chappelle’s Show was behind schedule after Chappelle fell ill, forcing the network to postpone the expected February debut of new episodes.

“Dave–and his entire production crew for that matter–got a bit of a late start on writing season three,” Fox told the New York Post. Production was slated to resume in January.

Last August, Chappelle, 31, reupped with Comedy Central in a massive two-year deal, valued at $50 million by the Hollywood Reporter. The deal also set a new Industry precedent–reportedly giving the funnyman a large cut of backend DVD sales.

Featuring Chappelle’s often raunchy standup, offbeat sketches and killer parodies of Prince and Rick James, Chappelle’s Show has steadily built a huge following since its January 2003. By the end of season two, the half-hour show was often pulling in more than 3 million viewers, a substantial number for basic cable. The first season currently ranks as the all-time top-selling TV show on DVD. (Paramount has indefinitely pushed back the release of the second season–the studio hopes to time the DVD to the start of season three.)

In addition to his gig at Comedy Central, Chappelle had been working on a book for Hyperion. No word on the book’s status; there’s also no word on the reported Rick James biopic for Paramount in which Chappelle would portray the late R&B wild man.

Miami rapper Jacki O confirmed that an altercation took place between her and Foxy Brown yesterday (April 24th) at Circle House studios in Miami, Florida.

According to Jacki O’s account, the altercation ensued after she invited the Brooklyn rapper into the studio, known for its amenities and opulence.

I was all for the idea of having her join us in the studio,” Jacki O said. “That shows how much respect I had for her.

Jacki O said Brown entered the studio and had some words for Jacki O, which she overheard.

According to Jacki O, Brown returned to the studio, words were exchanged and a physical altercation broke out between the two women.

This was not the way I wanted it to go down,” Jacki O stated. “I was looking forward to working with her on a song. We are two women in hip-hop and should be able to come to the table together. She forced me to show her who is the madam of Miami.

Representatives for Brown were not available to comment as of press time.

Comedian Chris Tucker was arrested in April 2005 and charged with reckless driving and fleeing to elude after he did not immediately pull over his speeding 2005 Bentley.

Tucker, 33, spent about 30 minutes in a McDuffie County lockup before posting cash bond and being released. According to cops, the “Rush Hour” star, an Atlanta native, was doing 109 mph on Interstate 20 when clocked by state troopers.

No big deal really, just posting it up for info…

Foxy Brown says she didn’t beat up two nail salon workers over a $20 pedicure — and her toes are worth more than that anyway. “A $20 pedicure? Are you serious?” she joked to reporters Monday outside the courtroom where she pleaded not guilty to assault over the August 2004 incident.

“I mean, look at me!” she said.

Brown, whose real name is Inga Marchand, pleaded not guilty to using her cell phone and fist to attack the manicurists on Aug. 29.

The 25-year-old rapper said she had asked for a manicure and a pedicure just as the salon in the Chelsea neighborhood was about to close.

“I got the pedicure, but they didn’t give me the manicure,” she said outside court.

Prosecutors charge that Brown kicked and hit a manager, Sun Ji Song, causing “bruising and swelling to the face, as well as substantial pain.” They said the salon’s employees ran out to Brown’s car and stood in front of it to block her. At one point, they said, the rapper slugged one of the workers with a cell phone.

She is charged with misdemeanor assault and attempted assault.

Brown’s lawyer, Joseph Tacopina, denied his client hit any of the workers directly on the face but said an altercation did take place. He said that the salon workers wanted to take advantage of her wealth.

Hip-hop star Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has been ordered to pay more than $21,000 a month in child support to an ex-girlfriend with whom he has an 11-year-old son.

The order, issued Thursday by the New York Supreme Court’s Appellate Division, came after Combs appealed a Westchester Family Court ruling last year that he should pay $35,000 a month. He currently pays about $5,000.

The ex-girlfriend, Misa Hylton-Brim, had sued for higher monthly payments and about $398,000 in back support for their son, Justin.

The appellate court judge awarded a lower but undisclosed amount in back support and ordered Combs to pay Hylton-Brim’s legal fees. The judge set monthly support payments at $21,782.

Rob Shuter, a spokesman for Combs, said Combs would appeal the decision to the state Court of Appeals.

While separated from girlfriend Kim Porter, Combs, 35, was also sued for child support for their son, Christian. He pays Porter, a model, about $30,000 a month.

Johnnie L. Cochran Jr., who became a legal superstar after helping clear O.J. Simpson during a sensational murder trial in which he uttered the famous quote “If it doesn’t fit, you must acquit,” died Tuesday. He was 67.

Cochran died of a brain tumor at his home in Los Angeles, his family said.

“Certainly, Johnnie’s career will be noted as one marked by ‘celebrity’ cases and clientele,” his family said in a statement. “But he and his family were most proud of the work he did on behalf of those in the community.”

With his colorful suits and ties, his gift for courtroom oratory and a knack for coining memorable phrases, Cochran was a vivid addition to the pantheon of best-known American barristers.

The “if it doesn’t fit” phrase would be quoted and parodied for years afterward. It derived from a dramatic moment during which Simpson tried on a pair of bloodstained “murder gloves” to show jurors they did not fit. Some legal experts called it the turning point in the trial.

Soon after, jurors found the Hall of Fame football star not guilty of the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman.

For Cochran, Simpson’s acquittal was the crowning achievement in a career notable for victories, often in cases with racial themes. He was a black man known for championing the causes of black defendants. Some of them, like Simpson, were famous, but more often than not they were unknowns.

Over the years, Cochran represented football great Jim Brown on rape and assault charges, actor Todd Bridges on attempted murder charges, rapper Tupac Shakur on a weapons charge and rapper Snoop Dogg on a murder charge.

He also represented former Black Panther Elmer “Geronimo” Pratt, who spent 27 years in prison for a murder he didn’t commit. When Cochran helped Pratt win his freedom in 1997 he called the moment “the happiest day of my life practicing law.”

He won a $760,000 award in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of Ron Settles, a black college football star who died in police custody in 1981. Cochran challenged police claims that Settles hanged himself in jail after a speeding arrest. The player’s body was exhumed, an autopsy performed and it revealed Settles had been choked.

His clients also included Haitian immigrant Abner Louima, who was tortured by New York police, and Tyisha Miller, a 19-year-old black woman shot to death by Riverside police who said she reached for a gun on her lap when they broke her car window in an effort to disarm her.

Can tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams score a ratings ace?

That’s what ABC Family TV is hoping for as it unveils a brand-new reality series starring the sibling tennis champions.

According to the network, the yet-to-be-titled series will follow the sisters around and unveil the details of their formerly private personal lives.

“The series will provide our fans with an up-close, inside look at our lives away from the tennis courts,” Venus said in a statement.

“We’re very excited to branch out into a new medium,” added Serena.

The six-episode series, which will bow in July on the family-friendly network, will feature the dynamic tennis duo “coming of age, as they find their place in the world outside of tennis,” per a release from the network.

Until now, the William sisters have been known for their quirky fashion sense, aggressive tennis styles and record championship titles, often coming up against each other in tournament play.

Between them, they have 11 major singles titles. Currently, Serena is ranked at No. 4 on the pro circuit and Venus is rolling in at No. 8, though both have held the top slot at one time or another.

It appears that the sisters aren’t satisfied with just breaking into television, however. They have also co-written an book for pre-teens called Venus and Serena: Serving From the Hip: 10 Rules for Living, Loving, and Winning.

“It’s a great book for teenage girls who deal with different issues,” Serena said in a statement. “Growing up, I would have loved to have had such a positive role model to look up to and try to be like and try to emulate. We love having that opportunity to say, ‘Look, you can be like us; you can be successful and at the same time have high morals and high self-esteem and be a very nice person at the end of the day.'”

Lest fans forget, the Williams sisters are still playing tennis. This week, they’re taking the court in Key Biscayne for the NASDAQ-100 Open. Both sisters won their matches Sunday and are moving on to the next round.
